🎨✨ Today Marks A Very Special Milestone… Farnley Art Friends Is 6 Months Old! ✨🎨
It’s hard to believe that back on 30th October, this group started with just a couple of family members around the table… and now, just six months later, we’re regularly welcoming 15+ people to our sessions.
This group began as an idea after Lorraine attended an art session last summer (a 70th birthday gift) and came away thinking — “I’d love to create something like this… but more inclusive.”
From not quite knowing where to start, to building something truly special, it’s been an incredible journey to watch.
Week by week, interest grew — from familiar faces, to new members, to a real community forming. And what’s been created is so much more than an art group.
It’s a place where people feel welcome A place where confidence grows A place full of encouragement, laughter and supportWe’ve had so many lovely comments from members about what the group means to them — and how much it’s helped them. It’s clear that this is about more than just painting… it’s about connection and community.
A huge part of that is down to Lorraine — her enthusiasm, warmth and constant encouragement. She gives so much to the group, always with a smile, and has created something that genuinely makes a difference to people.
And what makes it even more special — there’s no charge to attend. This group is simply Lorraine’s gift to others.
