🏆 ECB National Club Championship Final – New Farnley vs Shepherds Bush 🏏

The countdown is on to what promises to be a truly special occasion for New Farnley Cricket Club as we return to the magnificent setting of Wormsley for the ECB National Club Championship Final on Sunday 13th September 2026. New Farnley, representing the Bradford Premier Cricket League, have battled their way through another hugely competitive national campaign and now stand just one game away from adding another major national honour to the club’s remarkable recent history.

There is also a wonderful sense of déjà vu about the venue. New Farnley were at Wormsley last season, where they produced a memorable performance to defeat Wanstead & Snaresbrook in the ECB National Club T20 Final and lift the national trophy. Returning to such a prestigious venue for another ECB national final is a fantastic achievement in itself, but the players will be determined to create another unforgettable chapter and bring the trophy back to Yorkshire once again.

Standing in their way are Shepherds Bush, who have earned their place in the final through an impressive campaign representing the Middlesex County Cricket League. They will arrive with exactly the same ambition as New Farnley — to seize their opportunity on the national stage and walk away as champions. With two proud clubs from different cricketing regions going head-to-head, this really is a fantastic showcase for the strength and quality of English club cricket.

And it won’t just be the players making the journey south. New Farnley have once again organised a supporters’ coach, giving the club’s fantastic travelling support the opportunity to be part of another huge day at Wormsley. Last year’s national final was an occasion that will live long in the memory, and the hope is that players, families, volunteers, sponsors and supporters can once again come together to create an incredible atmosphere and get behind the lads from the first ball to the last.

So, Sunday 13th September 2026 is a date for the diary. Two clubs, two leagues, one prestigious national trophy and 40 overs to decide who will be crowned ECB National Club Champions. Whether you’re travelling on the supporters’ coach or making your own way to Wormsley, let’s turn the ground green and yellow, make our voices heard and give the team the support they deserve. It was easy and accessible to get our equipment in. The club it’s self is a modern vibrant space and the audience were equally lovely. They were up singing and dancing from the very first song. We had all the outside alongside the cricket ground, right to the bottom where we were allowed to have a giant inflatable slide. There was a cricket match on at the same time as the party but it didn’t get in the way and we had so much space for the kids to play in. Inside we had room for the food and DJ and a little dance floor . Very nice service and staff on the bar and grounds. A lovely experience would definitely recommend for party.

The staff do all they can to ensure everyone is comfortable and looked after. The added bonus of being able to use the outdoor greens for summer events is great - we played cricket, rounders and boules after a lovely BBQ - all of which was set up for us by the team at the cricket club. I can highly recommend the venue for anyone considering a private event in the area.

Everything about the experience was good from the initial booking to the day itself. All the staff were lovely, the room was just right and the food was good.
