🏏 Heavy Woollen Cup Final – Important Information For Supporters 🏏

With the Heavy Woollen Cup Final between New Farnley and Woodlands now just around the corner, we’re looking forward to welcoming cricket supporters from across Yorkshire to The Barry Jackson Ground for what promises to be a fantastic Bank Holiday Monday and a great celebration of Yorkshire club cricket.

The 50-over final gets underway at 12:00 noon, with gates opening at 10:30am. Admission is £5.00 for adults and £2.50 for concessions, with payment by cash or card on arrival. We are expecting a very good attendance, so seating may be limited and spectators are welcome to bring their own chairs where possible.

🍺 PLEASE NOTE – ALCOHOL: Under no circumstances should spectators bring their own alcohol into the ground. Our licence does not permit spectators to bring alcohol onto the premises. We will have two spectator bars available throughout the day — one in the clubhouse and another in the marquee at the top of the ground — so there will be plenty of opportunity to purchase drinks once inside.

🍔 There will also be plenty of food available, including a BBQ, street food, clubhouse kitchen serving cakes, savouries and hot drinks, plus an ice cream van all day. Toilet facilities will be available in the clubhouse, and the match will also be video recorded and live-streamed.

Whether you’re supporting New Farnley, Woodlands or simply coming along as a neutral to enjoy a great day of cricket, we’d love to see you at The Barry Jackson Ground. Two proud Bradford Premier Cricket League clubs, one historic trophy and a competition steeped in tradition — it promises to be a fantastic occasion.

It was easy and accessible to get our equipment in. The club it’s self is a modern vibrant space and the audience were equally lovely. They were up singing and dancing from the very first song.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I hired New Farnley Cricket Club for my two boys’ joint birthday party and it was fantastic. We had all the outside alongside the cricket ground, right to the bottom where we were allowed to have a giant inflatable slide. There was a cricket match on at the same time as the party but it didn’t get in the way and we had so much space for the kids to play in. Inside we had room for the food and DJ and a little dance floor . Very nice service and staff on the bar and grounds. A lovely experience would definitely recommend for party.

The staff do all they can to ensure everyone is comfortable and looked after. The added bonus of being able to use the outdoor greens for summer events is great - we played cricket, rounders and boules after a lovely BBQ - all of which was set up for us by the team at the cricket club. I can highly recommend the venue for anyone considering a private event in the area.

Everything about the experience was good from the initial booking to the day itself. All the staff were lovely, the room was just right and the food was good.
