Coutts Stars As New Farnley March Into Priestley Cup Semi-Final's

Bentley Drains Priestley Cup Quarter-Final
Townville 226 all out (50 overs)
New Farnley 227-6 (44.3 overs)
New Farnley won by 4 wickets

Fletcher Coutts produced a superb all-round performance as New Farnley booked their place in the Bentley Drains Bradford Premier Cricket League Priestley Cup Semi-Final’s with a hard-fought four-wicket victory over Townville Cricket Club at Poplar Avenue on Sunday.

After winning the toss and electing to field, New Farnley were made to work hard by a determined Townville side, who posted a competitive 226 before being dismissed from the final ball of their innings. With a semi-final place at stake, Farnley knew they would need a composed chase on a surface offering assistance to both batters and bowlers.

The visitors responded positively, building partnerships throughout the innings to keep themselves ahead of the required rate. However, Townville refused to go away and regular wickets ensured the contest remained firmly in the balance deep into the chase.

Step forward Fletcher Coutts.

Having already played a major role with the ball earlier in the day, the talented all-rounder once again demonstrated his value to the side with a decisive contribution in the run chase. Calm under pressure and positive in his approach, Coutts helped steer New Farnley through the closing stages and towards their target, ensuring there would be no late drama as the visitors reached 227-6 with 33 balls to spare.

It was a performance that perfectly encapsulated Coutts’ growing influence within the New Farnley side. Delivering in both disciplines when his team needed him most, he provided the spark that ultimately separated the two teams and secured Farnley’s passage into the last four.

The victory continues an impressive cup campaign for New Farnley and keeps alive hopes of lifting another major piece of silverware this season. With momentum building and key players producing match-winning displays, Farnley will head into the semi-finals full of confidence.

For now, though, the spotlight belongs firmly to Fletcher Coutts, whose outstanding all-round display helped power New Farnley into the Bentley Drains Priestley Cup Semi-Final’s.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My band The Cardinals had the pleasure of playing at the club this weekend. The staff were lovely. Really accommodating. It was easy and accessible to get our equipment in. The club it’s self is a modern vibrant space and the audience were equally lovely. They were up singing and dancing from the very first song. We had an absolute blast. Defo will be returning next year. Recommended

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I hired New Farnley Cricket Club for my two boys’ joint birthday party and it was fantastic. We had all the outside alongside the cricket ground, right to the bottom where we were allowed to have a giant inflatable slide. There was a cricket match on at the same time as the party but it didn’t get in the way and we had so much space for the kids to play in. Inside we had room for the food and DJ and a little dance floor . Very nice service and staff on the bar and grounds. A lovely experience would definitely recommend for party. Thank you! Xx

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We've had a number of corporate events at New Farnley CC now and each one has been brilliant. The staff do all they can to ensure everyone is comfortable and looked after. The added bonus of being able to use the outdoor greens for summer events is great - we played cricket, rounders and boules after a lovely BBQ - all of which was set up for us by the team at the cricket club. I can highly recommend the venue for anyone considering a private event in the area.
